MY HEART IN TWO
Like a rip in a dress, Queen Anne ripped with depressed and oppressed men and women living the free life but no other enjoyed such benefits like two unique children uniquely named Ananias and Sapphira.
I know that look. Some mothers need help because no man in his right senses will give his children, the fruit of his loins those cursed names in the Bible. Well…we all want to be special.
Those two children had a glassed perspective on everything and they were unbelievably geniuses in their individual schools. Every child was jealous, every teacher was depressed and every other parent was angry.
They were eye owls, watching everything, knowing everything but fortunately had a zip for a mouth.
Growing up, moving on, after being such a dear dart in the hearts of everyone around them, they were undeterred in doing what they do best. Gleaning green envy from enemies and frenemies. High school just made things better.
You might wonder why these two children never met even though they live two streets away from each other. I guess God’s time works best because it truly was a divine moment.
One choky afternoon, as they were in a party with their individual group of friends many kilometers from one another, they were kidnapped swiftly and cleanly. I am not going to get into the details but it didn’t go well — for the captors. Here is what happened.
The police had some information on a big drug cartel that was operating downtown and moved to raid the place only to get there to meet ten dead bodies and two kids covered in blood staring at them like avenged ghosts.
The news spread far and wide, rumors milled around and a dose of fear was sprinkled on the minds of everyone who heard them. Friends ran from them, teachers were wary and their parents only got more confused with every look. They became so close people always thought they were a couple.
Nobody knew exactly what they did and how they did it but they got an hint from a survivor that they stole a grenade and the rest is history.
Immediately, the government had an epiphany that these children were the diamond in the rough. Joining the army at 16. Rising up the ranks faster than any soldier ever known and claiming several successful missions had a wall to wall coverage.
Their greatest asset was the ability to blend into any situation leaving destruction in their wake. They can be anyone at any time and nobody can stand in their way.
Ananias and Sapphira were not particularly loved but they were highly respected. Fear in the enemy territory grew and so did the price on their heads. After several failed and embarrassing attempts, someone decided they were not invisible and took the challenge.
It all started with a mission, a mission which was the beginning of the end. Codename : The Duplet.
